Hey, uh... you home? Wanted to drop something off real quick, but if you're busy I could always do it later.

[There is a sort of awkwardness that hovers along with his words, but it's more because Shinji is out of practice when it came to these kinds of things. He wasn't usually in the habit of visiting people either, but he'd been doing what he could to find distractions - and making tea for Auron was definitely one of them.]

*Oh, that would be Aragaki's voice. He did promise the tea, didn't he? He could really really use it as he'd been working on that meditation and thinking way too much about a lot of things. Still, this did give him a chance to give him something back in kind.*

I just walked in the door from a job so swing by in about an hour or so, if you don't mind. *It'd be just enough time to cook something.*

[So Auron is a friend of Ana's? Interesting. Interesting in one sense, because he does not appear to come from their home world, and interesting in another, because it is almost impossible to imagine any one kind of person that Ana would befriend. Which is, of course, a compliment from Zenyatta.

At any rate, the omnic is not completely sure of what to expect of his newest pupil. There's no consistent reason for any one individual to take up meditation, and he has long since given up on trying to guess their motivations. Instead, he arrives at Auron's door with an open mind and an air that is at once both enthusiastic and sedate.

[Ana had told him that Zenyatta was an omnic. He knew omnic meant a man of metal but he didn't really appreciate what that meant until he met Zenyatta face to face. He may stare for a moment or two before social niceties take over.]

Thank you for coming over on such relatively short notice. [He hasn't lived in Verens very long to acquire a lot of things so his apartment, though small, is very neat. The living room has the most amount of space as Auron leads him to it. He sits on the ground with his back against the front of a couch.] Anything you can teach me would be appreciated.

[Granted, Cloud wouldn't get anything alcoholic, but it was the company he was looking for right now. Although it was a bit late, so Cloud would understand if he said no. But it was another restless night for him.]

Sure. I'm just getting done with work. I'm starting to tend bar at From the Hearth. If you want, you can stop on by and I'll wait here for you.

[Where did they put the tea in this place? He'll just be looking for that.]

[It was late at night when Auron might feel a faint tug at his mind. Should he accept it and answer the call, he would find himself confronted not with the image of a person, but an image of the night sky itself. The stars twinkled vibrantly above, and the nearly full moon seemed like a calm sentinel overseeing the whole of Verens.

The image was clear. Far too clear. The person's presence is one that Auron would probably recognize well by now, after their repeated encounters.

...And, if he stepped outside to investigate, he would find Shin-Ah on the roof of the where ever he resided with his knees pulled up against his chest, staring skyward as if transfixed by the sky himself.]

[Auron had been asleep, but he woke up with the insistent image of the sky. There weren't any words, which made him immediately realize it was from only one person.

He yawned as he walked onto the roof from the stairwell. He was dressed for bed in just a dark shirt and thin dark pants.]

Evening, Shin-ah. Can I help you?

[There's a brief moment of hesitation before he finally speaks.]

[It's late, as these kinds of things always are, but Auron wakes up to the sound of Cloud's voice.]

What is it? What's wrong?

[Because there's usually something up if it's late at night.]

[Shin-Ah once more sought Auron out at his workplace before the establishment grew busy in the evening, carrying with him a small, clumsily wrapped package in his hands. The last few weeks had been difficult during his adjustment to Kija's absense, but the support from Auron and many others in the city had made it easier for him.

He wanted to show thanks, in some small way.

Shyly he peeked in through the door, once more in the blindfold instead of the mask due to the sheer level of heat from the season and looking just as out of place as ever.]

[Fortunately Auron's just got one small shift in the morning before he heads out with Sora on some monster hunting for the rest of the day. So at the very least Shin-ah came at a good time.

Auron spots him right away.]

[It had been a while since he sought Auron out-- the madness in town had Shin-Ah keeping his distance for his own peace of mind, but even he found himself longing for the company of someone outside of his immediate circle despite long being accustomed to solitude. Shin-Ah approached the bar with more confidence that evening, for now he knew what he was doing to a degree, and carefully sought out Auron in the crowd.

He knew his friend was there, but he didn't want to be a bother if Auron was busy either.]

[It takes Auron a moment to register Shin-ah's presence. Knowing it would take his younger friend a bit to get to the bar, he got a glass of iced tea and sugar ready for when the dragon did arrive.

Auron looks like he might have a little more gray in his hair. Apparently something might have happened, but he also looks...less sad somehow.]

[ Sometime in the morning or whenever Auron decides to open the front door, he'll find a box addressed to him. The box wasn't fancy and the note didn't even say who it was from. If he decided to open the box and not destroy it because who knows who it could have come from, he'll find what looks to be a handmade jacket made in dark red fabric. Theres nothing too exciting about the jacket, except if he looked at the back of it, he'd find handstitched into the fabric, his blade crossing blades with a Gunblade. ]

[What was all this? He didn't even know why he suddenly had a nice jacket until he saw the back of it. He doesn't normally wear jackets, since he wears robes, but he'd definitely make an exception in this case.]

Hey, you. [This is from Auron over the crystal, as he looks at his present and examining the nice stitching.]

[ When Auron wakes, he will find that his crystal is glowing! His emotion drops for the month of Octha have resonated with Empatheias' giant crystal, and a reaction has been formed.

By his door, he will find a life-sized standee of himself (in this pose)! Standee Auron does nothing but look imposing. He also cannot be torn or burned or destroyed.

[Malenzio had no complaints at all on finding Auron. He was a pretty cool dude and had another cool dragon friend so of course he wanted to get there fast. He arrived at Auron's windowsill in a full festive decorations, pretty eager to get inside.]

[In his backpack was a letter directed to Auron if he gets the chance to read it:]

The next time we have a playdate with the wyverns it should probably not involve reckless flying.

But I hope this gift is enough - though I realize it might not your type of thing.

[Inside the note was a vibrant shell necklace that shined multiple colors depending how the light hit it. The chain of course can be removed and only keep the shell, or loop it to something else. Either way Emizel thought they looked really neat.]

[Although the first thing for Auron to deal with might be the wyvern chirping at him to play.]

[Actually, it IS pretty neat. It reminds him a bit of Besaid Island. He's not sure if he'd wear it, but he tucks it in a pocket of his travel robe.]

[You know, he did get some training, but a refresher is good. Especially since he skipped a few lessons, possibly. And fayth yeah, more scarfs for him to wear in the cold!]

[Sometime on the 25th, Auron will get a visit from a red-tailed hawk bearing a gift-wrapped bundle. He might have a bit of an issue actually getting the bundle; the hawk is a bit of a biter. But once he does get it, he'll find a note accompanying the bundle in a flowy script that reads as followed:]

P.S. - I apologize about Rafiq's behaviour. He can be a bit temperamental towards others.

[In the bundle is a bag of tea leaves tucked within a particular brass mug, along with a small tin container filled with some squares of basbousa cake. There is also a small booklet on wyvern flying for beginners.]

[Auron just kind of stares at the presents. Especially the mug. He can't wait to drink beer out of this thing!

The booklet is greatly accepted, along with Roxas' manual since he still needs the help with flying. It might take him a bit to think of a suitable present in response, but he'll definitely think of something.]

[Not Christmas day, but Christmas Eve, Auron will find a meat pie (since Snow remembered he didn't like sweets). Attached is a note.]

[Actually, he didn't mind sweets too much, but he couldn't consume them the way Cloud could. The occasional slice of cake was fine and a cookie here and there. But a meat pie? He could eat those every day.

He'd have to think of something good in response, considering she was going to be providing food for the party tomorrow.]

[Not that it was unusual for Cloud to wake up later than Auron, but it was a good hour longer than usual before Cloud was actually awake. And probably another 30 minutes before he rolled out of bed to stumble his way to make some coffee, hand on the rail as he came down the steps and the other hand rubbing his eye and side of his face. He could hear Fenrir puttering about outside, probably playing with Ifrit, the bell was still on his collar.]

Mmph, Auron? You home?

[Auron had gotten conscious enough to let Fenrir out to do his business, feed and water him and then fall back asleep on the couch, arm over his eyes. He'd had a bit to drink, but he'd also eaten a lot.

He's not hungover, but he needed the extra sleep to work off a headache.]

[Day after Christmas, a small basket of brussels sprouts are delivered with a note that they are from Yeul for the pretty tree holiday.]

[Hunh. That's a new one for a gift. On the other hand, with the sheer amount of sugar that's still in their house, veggies are very much needed and appreciated.]

[ When Auron wakes, he will find that his crystal is glowing! His emotion drops for the month of Ennea have resonated with Empatheias' giant crystal, and a reaction has been formed.

By his feet, he will find a small box. Inside contains a mug for him to use! It may seem like a regular coffee mug at first, but he'll eventually realise that the mug will always keep whatever is in it warm. At the same time, any beverage that Auron drinks from it will cheer him up.

[ Left outside of Auron's home was a box for Auron. There was a single pink flower laid out beside it as well. Inside the box was a metallic figurine that looked like Ifrit. It was painted in the colors of him as well. ]

Weirdly enough, this note for me was the hardest to write. I don't know what to say to you. The feelings are strong, the feelings are there, but to put them into words, it's rather difficult. While... I don't know who my real father is/was???, I sort of in a way... feel a bond with you that might be similar that. Thank you for putting up with me. Even if I'm a pain in the ass to deal with.

[It took Auron a while to figure out where the sound was coming from since he wasn't in his bedroom. When he sees his wayward son, Auron slips on his traveling robe before going outside.]

[He's a little tired from the journey and had been kind of dozing but he's coming awake. What did he forget to do?]

[ Unlike the previous unexpected call, this one is full image (blame the glitches), during the day, and instead of weak and barely there, this time the contact is soft. There is ... joy to it. Again, blame the glitches. But also serenity.

[It is glitchy as it's image so Regis can see Auron. He's still got his guard up, with his shades and the high collar of his clothes...but his voice is warmer. Less grief stricken.]
