Yeah. You're right. My first Christmas and combined birthday was pretty memorable.

[At the same time, it's nice to relax with just Cloud. And Fenrir, making sure to scratch the dog behind the ears.]

Thinking I should get you an ornament that says "Baby's 1st Christmas" then.

[And maybe a birthday one too, he thought with a laugh. He poured the hot water over the filter carefully, watching as the mug slowly filled up as the water seeped through.]

[That actually makes him snort with laughter. Good job, Cloud.]

Speaking of birthdays, when's yours? I don't remember you celebrating it at all yet.

That's because I didn't.

[He sighed softly as the laughter in him died down. He changed out the filter and poured the second cup.]

It was back in August,...uh, Penta. Leon left around that time. I never announced it.

Ah.

[Not much to really say about that. He could certainly understand not feeling like a celebration, as he hadn't for years and years. He walks over to Cloud just to give him a squeeze on the shoulder.]

Turned 24, in case you wanted to know.

[He pauses when he feels the squeeze on his shoulder and gave Auron a small smile and pushed the mug of coffee to him. His own needed some creamer, so he didn't fill it quite as much. He went about getting the creamer to pour in.]

Maintaining my perfect average of always being older than you, I see.

[He takes his coffee to sit at the table, but not before snagging one of the many Christmas cookies left over. Hunk had really gone all out giving them as a birthday present. And they were good. Just one or two a day would work for him.]

[He took a cookie as well once he had the coffee the way he wanted it ad sat across from Auron.]

Think we should get back to cleaning later today or wait until tomorrow?

I've never been one for being lazy, but we did a LOT the last few days. How about we just kind of relax today?

[The fact he won't have to cook for a while will be a faythsend since their kitchen had been active nonstop for a while.]

Sure. We can do it another day.

[Honestly, he could use a proper breakfast, but he still felt incredibly tired. Maybe after the coffee and cookie, with their sugar, he'll make a proper meal.]

[And by the time he thinks about doing that, it might be lunch.]

Although even if we don't clean, we should probably exercise a little to work off the food. Later.

[He snorted and shook his head as he drank his coffee.]

You can do that if you want.

[Today was a day he wasn't going to exercise. He really just wanted to relax. If he wanted to go on a walk later, he might. And take Fenrir with him, of course.]

Or...or just walk around.

[He would want to laze around but he'd eaten and drank so much he'd feel honestly bad if he didn't get some form of exercise.]

You get any good presents from Sora?

Mm. Some gloves and a necklace. You?

A few good things! Scarves and work gloves and things for my sword, that picture, some little art things and lots of food.

Oh, Regis got me an obnoxious shirt to match the socks Sora got me.

So pretty good, I think.

Because that's what you need, more obnoxious clothes.

[He laughs softly as he bites into the cookie, washing it down with some more coffee.]

Just to annoy you all winter long, Cloud.

I hope the earring works out for you. I don't usually wear jewelry so I wasn't sure...

[He hums as he bites into the cookie, eyebrows raises in amusement.]

I'm sure they'll be fine. [He covered his mouth a little as he spoke.] I haven't changed my earring awhile, although it reminds me that I miss having two.

Or you could put two in the same ear. If you went that route.

But did you used to have earrings in both ears?

I could, but I'd need to make a second hole and that's kind of a pain to deal with sometimes.

[He nods and he pointed to the ear without the earring, it was hard to see but there was a faint line of a scar going straight down from where the hole would have been, a keloid that was still healing.]

It got torn out.

[Auron sucks in his breath through his teeth and gives a pained grunt.]

Holy fayth, that must have hurt.

Yeah. [A humorless laugh. It was a bitch to heal too.] Should’ve seen the other guy though.

[That makes him chuckle into his coffee. He finishes it off, along with his cookie.]

Good.

You know what else I got for presents? Training manuals for wyvern flight. I guess I embarrassed myself enough over the network.

I got another pair of earrings, cookies, and a friendship bracelet from Alice.

[He gives a pointed stare and even a point with his finger with a small smile, the bracelet in question hanging off his wrist.]

I'm not starting anything. She's a kid and she adores you, so why not show off a present from her?

[Since he's doing a good job of parenting/big brothering her. Sort of what he's doing to Cloud himself.]

Hey. Since we're going to relax for a bit, you mind showing me how to play that thing?

[He inclines his head toward the piano. Fayth only knows where they have to go to return that.]
