[Auron gives him a little sigh. Meanwhile, Fenrir is very pleased to have Squall come and visit and tries to knock him over with his big hairy self.]

[ Squall hadn't noticed the poor dog when he gets all up in a tizzy about Auron that he's almost thrown off his balance. ]

Auron starts getting some food together, because he figures Squall might be hungry from the walk over.]

[ Squall falls silent for a long while. It was humiliating talking about this. It was humiliating to have all these thoughts in his head, and he didn't want others to see just how pathetic he was.

But... Auron he could trust, couldn't he? Squall was wringing his hands, wincing as he did so. ]

I wasn't able to save him.

Sora, you mean? Yeah...I couldn't do anything at all.

He choked me out and I passed out. Couldn't even use a sword at all. It...it's a little humbling. But sometimes you can't do it all.

[ Squall gripped the fabric of his pants tightly, wincing from the pain in his broken wrist. ]

Did anyone ever figure out how Sora did what he did?

Not that.. I know of. I haven't really talked to him since it happened.
